UNDER THE MUMFLUENCE.

‘Under the Mumfluence’ is an Arts Council funded one-woman show which takes a humorous look at pregnancy and motherhood in the age of social media, created in conjunction with theatre makers Anna Clover, Hannah Walker, Hannah Butterfield and Matt Rogers. As part of this project, Jessie ran workshops with new mothers and their babies to explore how the internet informs their approach to parenting, as well as their feelings about their sense of identity.

It is produced by Discerning Nights, with support from CLAY Leeds and Slung Low.

YOU NEED HELP.

You Need Help is a comedy self-help spectacular for people broken by the modern world performed by Jessie Brooks and Harry May Bedell, two internationally ignored gurus. We were commissioned by Leeds International Festival to deliver You Need Help, a Council(in) Session to help some up with ideas to improve Leeds. This involved topics such as town planning, sausage rolls and fashion tips. While all of our proposals were deemed 'too progressive' and/or 'dangerous', we are confident they will be implemented in time.
